KOHIMA: Nagaland’s Temjen Imna Along is one of the most popular politicians in the Northeastern region of the country when it comes to social media. He is known for witty takes on simple day-to-day incidents as well as for sharing some of the uncommon things and experiences of the region over his social media handles.

The election fever in the state has managed to catch up with the popular Temjen Imna Along as well as he shared photos of him during the campaigning of the upcoming assembly polls in the state. With the candidates and the star campaigners busy sharing pictures of the election-time crowds across the state, the minister used social media to grab the attention of his followers towards a more simple aspect of life while attaching an election relation by-line to this picture.

Temjen Inma Along shared a picture of himself enjoying a meal amidst the election campaign going on in his state while trying to convey that he got hold of some delicious food amidst the busy election campaigns.

His tweet was originally in Hindi and roughly translates to “It is good that on the pretext of elections” in English.

And as any other of his regular posts, this too went aboard the viral content bandwagon on social media. The content reached to more than 100000 viewers on social media just within an hour of posting the content.

Temjen Imna Along is the Minister of Higher Education and Tribal Affairs for the Government of Nagaland and the State President of the Bharatiya Janta Party in Nagaland.

Voting for a total of 59 out of the 60 constituencies of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly will take place on February 27 and counting for the same is dated March 2. One candidate from the Bharatiya Janta Party was elected without contest from the state.
